Service Description: Provides home care services in private homes, hospitals, long term care facilities, retirement residences, rehab centres, respite care facilities or anywhere care is needed 


Services include:
  • Personal care (assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, dressing, meal planning, preparation, feeding, personal hygiene, grooming, medication reminders, etc.)
  • Light house cleaning, laundry, bed-making, grocery shopping, errands and appointments
  • Respite care (can be hours, days, weeks and months)
  • Palliative care (provided by an inter-professional team including social workers, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists. spiritual care providers, personal support workers)
  • Post-op care
  • Alzheimer's/dementia care (caregivers assist with grooming, meals preparation, medication administration or reminder and supervision, mouth care, assist with personal hygiene and light housekeeping, etc.)
  • Age In Place - analysis of current home to determine if it's senior friendly and safe * make recommendations and updates and repairs where necessary
  • Downsizing - assist with finding a suitable home for current life stage
  • Residence transition - assist with finding an assisted living or long term care or retirement home

Meetings: Caregivers' Burnout Prevention Group: seminars on  health related topics such as hypertension, diabetes, Alzheimer's/dementia, depression, nutrition in seniors, elder abuse, provided at Kingdom Covenant Ministries, and in the community - retirement homes, hospitals, community centres, churches
Fees: $25 an hour and up * call for price list
